RICS is delighted to invite you to a CPD event run on The Future of Shopping Centres – The Next Generation which will be held on 31 March 2020 United Arab Emirates time zone (UTC +4)

Summary of the Topic: The presentation will consider the future of shopping centres providing an overview of the issues relating to the changing patterns of retailing. Specific discussions will be made of spatial economic change and real estate markets.

Speaker: Dr Michael Waters MRICS | Associate Professor in Real Estate | Heriot Watt University

About the Speaker
Dr Michael Waters is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and Associate Professor in Real Estate at Heriot Watt University’s Dubai Campus. He launched all three of the University’s Real Estate programmes (one undergraduate programme and two specialised postgraduate programmes) in Dubai. Michael has been working in real estate academia since 2004 for a number of top UK universities. He also worked in private practice in London, building up a portfolio of strategic property advice for major UK housebuilders. All practising RICS members are required to record at least 20 hours of CPD (including a minimum of 10 hours of formal CPD) completed each year. It has come to our attention that certain RICS members in this region have declared as complete CPD events that they have booked but not attended.  

Please note that we maintain attendance registers at RICS training and CPD events. We will also be carrying out extra checks on CPD records and, where dishonest recording is identified, the matter will be brought to the attention of the RICS regulation team and may result in RICS pursuing disciplinary action.
