RICS is delighted to invite you to a CPD event run on Bid Management which will be held on the 10 December 2019 (600PM-800PM UAE time zone)
Event overview: Bidding is the most common means of winning work, whether competitively, through negotiations or via a framework agreement. Bidding can be costly to organisations and therefore requires careful planning, must ensure comply with local laws and regulations, and ultimately shapes the overhead cost of a company. This training module covers the entire bidding process from the bidding organisation’s perspective and includes a section on how to compile a fee proposal (from a consultant’s point of view). There is also an outline on what is included in a contractor’s proposal.
The module is not be confused with Tendering, i.e. the assessment of bid submissions, as this session focuses on the management of bids internally within an organisation.

About the Speaker
Ayman El-Ghazzawi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo (1998), and a Master of Science degree from the University of the West of England, Bristol (2003). Having worked in both the UK and Egypt, he has gained valuable experience in cost and project management of large, complex projects, including procurement advice to the UK government.
Ayman is a RICS-Accredited Expert Witness and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). He is the founder and managing director of ValueMetric Consultants (VMC), a company regulated by the RICS, since early 2016 and has since delivered professional training to corporate clients and academic institutions such as the American University in Cairo’s School of Sciences and Engineering.

The presentation will start promptly at 1830. If you have not dialed in by this time (1830), you will not be able to claim your 1.5 hr. Formal CPD.
All practising RICS members are required to record at least 20 hours of CPD (including a minimum of 10 hours of formal CPD) completed each year. It has come to our attention that certain RICS members in this region have declared as complete CPD events that they have booked but not attended.
Please note that we maintain attendance registers at RICS training and CPD events. We will also be carrying out extra checks on CPD records and, where dishonest recording is identified, the matter will be brought to the attention of the RICS regulation team and may result in RICS pursuing disciplinary action.
