About the Speakers
Paul (Legal Director) is a full-time member of the Infrastructure team in the Qatar office with over 12 years’ experience of which 5 years of those are working in the Middle East. He specialises in construction and engineering law and has substantial experience of advising clients on contracting arrangements on major infrastructure projects in Qatar, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Africa, Russia and the United Kingdom.
Paul has expert knowledge and in-depth experience of standard form contracts for the procurement of construction and engineering projects using FIDIC, NEC, ICE, ICC, ICE, MF/1, IChemE, LOGIC and JCT.
Gabriel specialises in construction and engineering law and has experience of providing legal advice on high-value complex projects for public and private sector clients in the infrastructure sector.
Gabriel has advised clients on the procurement and delivery of facilities, venues and infrastructure during all stages of the project lifecycle in the Middle East, Far East, Africa and the UK. This included providing advice on project structure, procurement strategy, contract strategy, tender and award of the contract, contract administration, completion and handover, operation, dispute avoidance and financial close out of the project. Gabriel was a member of the legal team at the Olympic Delivery Authority during the peak period of procurement activity for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

All practising RICS members are required to record at least 20 hours of CPD (including a minimum of 10 hours of formal CPD) completed each year. We will also be carrying out extra checks on CPD records and, where dishonest recording is identified, the matter will be brought to the attention of the RICS regulation team and may result in RICS pursuing disciplinary action.
