RICS is delighted to invite you to a CPD run on Introduction to the RICS Global Professional and Ethical Standards, which will be held on 4 September 2019 at B303, The Design House, Al Sufouh Gardens, Dubai.
This course will focus on the five professional and ethical standards, why they are important to RICS members, firms and all professionals and where to get further information and help.
- Know and understand the RICS Global Professional and Ethical Standards
- Understand why compliance is important to the RICS
- Know how it is implemented
- Appreciate the consequences of non-compliance
It will also meet the new CPD requirements to undertake learning on RICS’ Professional and Ethical Standards once every three years.
This course is excellent preparation for the Ethics mandatory competency for RICS members preparing for final assessment interviews.

About the Speaker
Andre Swanepoel is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) and project director at Rider Levett Bucknall in Dubai, providing cost management services for Emaar Properties. He comes from a construction background and holds a master’s degree in business administration. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the commercial management of building projects as a contractor and consultant gained over twenty-five years in the industry.
He has worked for major international contractors and professional consultancy firms in the UAE, UK, South Africa and Mauritius, where he was responsible for managing a diverse range of large, complex and high-profile projects from conception to completion.
Originally from South Africa, he also worked in Mauritius and the UK before moving to Dubai 11 years ago.
